Sodium Alginate is the sodium salt form of alginic acid, mainly extracted from the cell walls of brown algae. When chewed, it forms a temporary “raft” that physically blocks acid from flowing back into the esophagus, and naturally breaks down in a few hours.*
Alginic acid and sodium alginate are most effective when chewed after a meal. The unique Acid Block formula also includes slippery elm and deglycyrrhized licorice.*

Total Carbohydrate 2 g, Sugars 2 g, Calcium Carbonate 30 mg, Algnic Acid 450 mg, Licorice (DGL) (Glycyrrhiza glabra root) 250 mg, (standardized <2%[<10mg] glycyrrhizin) Sodium Alginate 50 mg, Slippery Elm (bark) 50 mg, (standardized 20% phytosterols). Other ingredients: Fruit sugar, proprietery chicory root and mung bean extract, stearic acid.
Contains no yeast, dairy, eggs, gluten, wheat, starch, artificial colors or preservatives.
As a dietary supplement, chew 1-2 tablets after meals or before retiring.
