Winter is Coming! Our Top Immune-Boosting Tips

The weather’s changing, temperatures are dropping and winter is almost here. In this new video from Dr. Morrison, he shares the best ways to stay healthy by keeping your immune system strong to prevent and fight infections while you weather the winter season.

Keep your immune system in tip-top shape as the winter season approaches. Here’s how:

  • Cut out sugar and avoid milk and dairy products. Sugar has been found to lower the immune system and dairy can create mucus, which can make you more susceptible to nasal congestion and upper respiratory infections, and make symptoms worse if you do get a cold.
  • Use a warm mist humidifier in your home to combat dry air that often occurs from using heat, which prevents drying out mucus membranes that can lead to infections.

To go the extra mile, we recommend these two nutritional supplements to help prevent you from getting sick:

Daily Flora Immune Probiotic Capsules for Upper Respiratory HealthDaily Flora Immune is a probiotic that helps improve your immune system function. It has two species of “friendly” lactobacillus bacteria, which help reduce the risk for upper respiratory infections. We recommend taking one daily during the winter season.

Buffered Vitamin CBuffered Vitamin C helps keep your immune system in fighting shape and working optimally. We recommend about 1,000mg each day for cold and flu prevention. If you start to get a cold, increase to 1,000mg every two hours until you’re feeling better.

If you do happen to get sick, these are great products to keep in your natural medicine cabinet:

Catskill Mountains Raw Bee Propolis Tincture for Immune HealthBee Propolis has been used for thousands of years to help boost the immune system. This bee propolis comes from the Catskill Mountains, a pristine source. It soothes your throat and speeds the cold-and-flu recovery process. We recommend one to two dropperfuls every two to three hours.

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) for Immunity and Antioxidant SupportN-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a natural decongestant that helps to cut through mucus. Generally, we recommend taking three capsules three times a day whenever congestion is a problem.

We hope you have a happy and healthy holiday and winter season!
