Current research has found high-concentration supplementation, at 180 mcg daily, results in improved clinical outcomes compared to lower-dose supplementation (4).
Vitamin K Depletion
Although most of us get enough vitamin K through our diet to maintain proper blood clotting function, many of us do not consume enough MK-7 (the form of Vitamin K in our Vit D3/K2 5000 IU) to meet cardiovascular and bone health needs.* In fact, approximately 70% of the western population is deficient in vitamin K2. Insufficient vitamin K2 levels can allow calcium to be transported from bone into soft tissues.
Medications like antibiotics, cholesterol-lowering medications and laxatives have also been found to contribute to a deficiency of vitamin K.*
