I wanted to share updates from my experience on how Firefly has been successfully improving patient care.
If you’ve been recommended Firefly, it’s because your provider believes you'll benefit from it's ability to regulate inflammation and improve cellular energy. My role, as a Firefly technician, is to deliver the treatments and modify the sessions based on how your body responds.
A little about this treatment. Firefly is a high powered LED light and frequency-based therapy. It uses specific wavelengths of light and frequency patterns applied directly to the body to support cellular energy, reduce inflammation, and help the nervous system regulate itself.
What makes Firefly different from other professional light therapies
Some of you have done other light-based therapies before. Firefly works differently and you’ll feel that difference in how targeted and efficient the sessions are.
First, it’s about depth.
Firefly delivers near-infrared light that can penetrate up to 8 inches into tissue. That allows us to reach deeper structures- organs, sinuses, joints, nerves and neurological pathways, rather than just working on the skin.
Second, it’s about power.
The system we use in the office (Firefly Clinic Pro) delivers up to 75,420 milliwatts of total output when both wands are used. Because of that, sessions are short, usually 5-10 minutes per area, and still very effective.
Third, it’s about multi-layered light delivery.
Each wand includes:
-
5 red elements
-
12 blue elements
-
8 infrared elements
→ 25 total light elements working together
We’re not using a single wavelength or a single setting. We’re layering different types of light at the same time, based on your protocol.
And finally, it’s about how it’s applied.
In our office, we use two wands at the same time, which allows us to treat multiple areas or follow more advanced protocols more efficiently.
What I’ve been seeing across patients
As more of our patients have been going through sessions, a few patterns have been consistent.
Improved Digestion
Some of the patients have come in dealing with long-term digestive irregularity that hasn’t fully shifted, even while staying consistent with their plan.
With Firefly, I’ve seen more regular bowel function begin to develop. It’s takes time, and over a few months, digestion starts to regulate and become more predictable and comfortable.
Improved Energy without stimulants
One of the most noticeable shifts comes from vagus nerve protocols.
During and after sessions, many of our patients report feeling deeply relaxed—but also more energized.
That combination matters. It tells us the body is shifting out of a stress state and into a more regulated pattern without relying on stimulants.
Improved Sinus congestion
For those of you dealing with ongoing sinus issues, I’ve seen steady improvement with a series of Firefly sessions.
I see patients have improved nasal breathing and much more breathing discomfort.
These changes tend to build gradually and constistently over time.
Improved Mental clarity
In more complex situations. like Lyme, where brain fog and fatigue can linger, I’ve seen gradual and consistent improvement in symptoms: clearer thinking, better focus, and more stable energy with consistent firefly sessions.
How Firefly fits into your care
Firefly isn’t something we use on its own. It’s part of a larger plan your provider has built for you.
You’re usually referred and will benefit from Firefly when:
-
healing progress has slowed
-
persistent symptoms are lingering
-
or your body needs more support regulating itself
Each session follows your protocol, and evolves based on how your body responds.
What else can Firefly do?
We’re also introducing a new way to use Firefly more intentionally: a monthly Full Moon Cleanse.
This is a lunar-synced detox designed to support intestinal pathogen clearing and help restore your gut’s natural balance. It’s set up as an ongoing monthly program, so each session builds on the last.
Our next session is June 29 — the Strawberry Moon.
If this is something you’re interested in, ask your practitioner or the front desk to schedule your appointment. We’ll help you decide if it fits into your current plan.
